Designer Victoria and Albert Museum

A watercolour from 1909 in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London was the basis for one of Voysey's best known wallpaper designs. It translates beautifully into needlepoint. Voysey's later style was characterised be pastel colourways, flowing patterns and flattened silhouettes. His output was prodigious but the quality never slipped and he is, without doubt, one of the greatest commercial designers of all time.
