Yuzen Pines

$160.00

Designer Victoria and Albert Museum

A magnificent design taken from the hem of a C19th kimono in the Victoria and Albert Museum. On the original garment the cloud areas were created using gold leaf and the trees were created using a technique called Yuzen which involves drawing on the cloth with rice paste to prevent dye from penetrating. Consummate Japanese craftsmanship and a sensational design.
