Designer Victoria and Albert Museum

Based on a drawing for a tile panel by William De Morgan. It was left to the Victoria and Albert Museum by his wife, the Pre-Raphaelite painter, Eveyln De Morgan. Tiles like these were commonly found around Victorian fireplaces and featured in artistic interiors from the 1860s onward.
