Raymond
Honeyman has contributed a growing collection of designs to
the Ehrman Catalog over the past 10 years. Most of us
would agree with the American magazine "Stitcher's World"
when they wrote that "these dramatic canvases are some
of the most exquisitely beautiful in needlepoint today".
Raymond's
background was originally in textile design, and it was his
love of pattern, repeat and rich color which drew him towards
tapestry.
Raymond
Honeyman's needlepoint designs are painstakingly meticulous.
He paints every stitch separately so that it's easy to print
and stitch the canvas. It's very time consuming but
he says he "absolutely loves doing it". |
"I have all the yarns used in Ehrman kits
in my house and I get them out and choose my colors
first. I know the atmosphere and mood I want to
create with them, and I love playing with them
and sorting them out.".
